Steve
Steve Grivas is a partner in the Assurance & Advisory division, Managing Partner of the Sydney firm, and a member of the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association Executive Committee. Up until 2025 he was also a member of the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association Audit and Accounting Standards Committee.
He is known for his meticulous attention to detail and strategic financial management, particularly in financial services, funds and asset management, freight forwarding, real estate, and building & construction.
Key skills and experience
- Conducts audits of financial statements, both statutory and non-statutory for ASX-listed, multinational, and private organisations.
- Planning and executing audit and advisory services to clients with large and complex transactions.
- Advises on complex transactions and restructures, helping clients make confident, informed decisions.
- Significant experience working with large financial services organisations including auditing AFSL requirements, auditing GS 007 reports and auditing compliance plans.
- Significant experience working with freight forwarding organisations including auditing, restructuring and valuations as required.
- Conducts independent valuations of funds, businesses, and shares.
- Conducts numerous valuations for private equity organisations for due diligence and exits as well as financial reporting purposes.
- Interpretation and application of key accounting standards and policies, including obtaining an understanding of underlying transaction details.
- Advising clients on material accounting disclosures in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Supports one of Australia’s largest funds management companies with accounting and tax services, covering over $110 billion in assets.
- Former Responsible Partner for quality management in the firm, delivering every engagement with integrity and care.
