Nick Walker is highly experienced in the delivering of audit and assurance services to a broad range of clients that vary in scale, industry and structure.
He draws from this diverse experience to personalise his approach and to provide practical, straightforward solutions. His commitment to public practice is derived from the enjoyment he gets when working with clients on complex matters.
Nick’s breadth of experience includes manufacturing (mostly wineries and printers), road freight, motor vehicle dealerships, fuel and oil distribution, retail (independent supermarkets), agribusiness, wholesalers, public sector and not-for-profit entities. Clients have come in the form of private companies, companies limited by guarantee, publicly listed companies, trusts, public sector entities and incorporated associations. Turnover of these some of these entities has ranged up to in excess of $500 million.
Perhaps influenced by his rural background, Nick understands that in addition to his sound technical knowledge, it is important to take an empathetic approach when working with clients to address key matters. Changes in accounting standards, unexpected accounting consequences of contractual arrangements and business disposals and acquisitions are just some examples where such an approach has proved imperative. His objective is always to identify and address these matters as soon as they emerge.
