Michael is an experienced audit and technical partner with a specialisation in sustainability, and experience acting as an expert witness in class action lawsuits.

As a Registered Company Auditor (RCA), Michael services clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

As a National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) auditor registered with the Clean Energy Regulator (CER), Michael is a sustainability specialist with the ability to provide ESG advisory, carbon accounting and sustainability assurance services.

Michael’s career began with Ernst & Young in the UK where he was responsible for managing audit and assurance engagements for some of the UK’s largest listed companies. On moving to Melbourne in 2012, Michael joined the audit team at HLB Mann Judd where he specialises in audits, the provision of technical accounting advice and sustainability services.

Michael’s experience, spanning over 20 years, has been gained with clients ranging from small owner managed businesses and start-ups to listed multinational corporations.

With a genuine interest in business, Michael’s key strength is his ability to gain an understanding of the key issues facing his clients and to tailor solutions accordingly. As an organised and professional partner, he is known by his clients for always providing the highest levels of service. He has developed a reputation for delivering practical and tailored results within strict time frames.

As a technical partner at HLB Mann Judd, Michael regularly assists clients with technical accounting and financial reporting queries and has acted as an expert witness in several class action lawsuits.
