Barry
Having practiced in the area of restructuring and insolvency for over 40 years, Barry is one of the country’s most experienced practitioners. From 1989 to 2006 he was a partner of a firm recognised as one of Australia’s leading independent financial advisory and restructuring practices. He has extensive experience in providing advice on and acting in relation to, voluntary administrations, deeds of company arrangement, liquidations, receiverships and personal insolvency.
Barry has appeared as an expert witness in numerous legal proceedings including the Supreme Court of NSW and the ACT, as well as New York, USA. Barry is also experienced with cross-border restructuring and insolvency in the USA, South America, Western Europe and New Zealand. In 1997 Barry was the first Official Liquidator appointed to a superannuation trust company and has considerable expertise in working with Trustees and Regulators.
A major focus of Barry’s practice is the restructuring and rehabilitation of SMEs.
