HLB firms have come together to celebrate the global advisory and accounting network’s third annual #HLBCommunities Day.

The day presents HLB firms with an opportunity to give back to their local communities, build internal relationships and share in the impact HLB creates together as a network. This year HLB firms showed support for the CSR initiative on World Environment Day.

Firms in the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association participated in #HLBCommunities Day. HLB Mann Judd collectively volunteered 174 hours through 29 participants across 3 community projects.

In Adelaide, the firm volunteered to plant trees for Greening Australia and contributed to the SA Government’s goal of achieving a ‘Carbon Neutral Adelaide’.

Both the Sydney and Perth focused their efforts on raising awareness related to recycling clothing and helping the homeless.

Sydney volunteers sorted clothing for Pass it on Clothing & Co. The not-for-profit takes clothing donations directly to those doing it tough, allowing people to visit and select new clothing directly.

Similarly, Perth donated and sorted clothes for Street Friends WA Homeless Foundation who distributes warm provisions to the homeless.

HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association chair, Tony Fittler, expressed his gratitude to the firms that participated in #HLBCommunities Day 2021.

“Planning ahead during the pandemic has been challenging. We appreciate the time our volunteers gave back on this special day,” said Mr Fittler.

Since 1974, World Environment Day has been celebrated every year on 5 June, engaging governments, businesses and citizens in an effort to address pressing environmental issues.

Globally, the HLB network collectively volunteered 5,007 hours through 790 volunteers across 20 community projects.
