We are proud to share that HLB Mann Judd has joined the UN Global Compact Network Australia (UNGCNA), reinforcing our commitment to responsible business practices.
UNGCNA is the Australian network of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The Global Compact provides a globally recognised framework built on Ten Principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anticorruption. It also supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – the 2015 global commitment to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030, all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
Michelle Warren, national director of corporate reporting, said joining the UNGCNA represents the firm’s alignment with international best practice, and a long-standing focus on delivering positive outcomes for clients and communities.
“Becoming a member of the UN Global Compact Network Australia is an important step for HLB Mann Judd. It reinforces our commitment to responsible business practices and to creating meaningful and lasting impact for our clients, our people, and the communities we work with,” she said.
“It connects our people with leading learning platforms, collaboration opportunities and communities of practice focused on sustainability reporting, climate disclosure, governance and human rights. These resources help us build deeper capability, share insights and support clients as they navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory and ESG landscape.”
Nicholas Guest, partner, assurance & advisory, Sydney, said that the initiative allows HLB Mann Judd to contribute more widely to sustainability leadership in Australia and globally.
“We believe business has a critical role to play in addressing complex global challenges and shaping a more sustainable future. Working with UNGCNA members will help us turn that commitment into practical action.
“This step is a natural progression of our purpose-driven strategy backed by innovation, collaboration, and a focus on long-term value creation,” Guest added.
HLB Mann Judd joining the UNGCNA comes 18 months after establishing its own Sustainability Steering Committee (SCC), jointly led by Warren and Guest. The SSC aims to embed a sustainability mindset across the association through policies, education and awareness, supported by practical initiatives, enhancing support for clients on their own ESG and sustainability journeys.
Warren added, “Our focus has been on raising awareness, building capability, and ensuring ESG becomes part of the everyday conversation. We’re encouraged by the momentum so far and the positive shift already taking place.”
