As economic pressures and sector-wide challenges continue to mount, many not-for-profit organisations are considering mergers or acquisitions as a strategic way to remain financially viable, strengthen their impact, and ensure long-term sustainability. Join us for a timely and informative session featuring two NFP leaders who have navigated this journey first-hand.
In a “fireside chat”-style presentation, Dan Minchin, CEO of Chorus Australia, and Justin O’Meara Smith, CEO of Interchange WA, will share their experiences of going through a merger within the NFP sector, discussing the catalysts for change, lessons learned along the way, and reflections on what they’d do differently, to assist organisations in the not-for-profit sector who may be considering a merger or acquisition as an option in the future.
The session will be moderated by Lucio Di Giallonardo, Corporate & Audit Services Partner at HLB Mann Judd and a specialist in the NFP sector. Lucio will guide the conversation to uncover practical insights for organisations considering similar strategies. Lucio will also draw on his experiences in this space as Chairman of the Leukaemia Foundation of Australia.
