During this session, HLB Mann Judd’s Director of Corporate Reporting (Australasia), Michelle Warren, will provide a timely update on the major financial and sustainability reporting developments shaping the 30 June 2026 reporting season in Australia.
The session will cover key changes in the corporate reporting landscape, including the introduction of AASB 18 – a significant shift in performance reporting effective for listed entities from 1 January 2027. Michelle will outline what these changes mean in practice, the implications for preparers, and the steps organisations should be taking now to prepare for transition.
We will also explore insights from Australia’s first wave of mandatory climate reporters – the 31 December 2025 Group 1 entities that have lodged their inaugural sustainability reports under the new regime. Their experiences provide practical lessons for the next cohorts, including what worked, what proved challenging, and how to approach a smooth and credible reporting process.
