This Mother’s Day, we would like to introduce you to Letecia in the Perth office and Nishedi in the Melbourne office.
Letecia is a manager in the Business Advisory division and a proud mum to two boys, Thomas 7 and Jonathan 5. Nishedi is a senior auditor in the Audit & Assurance team and will be welcoming her first child this year.
Although their roles are very different, both Letecia and Nishedi bring valuable insights on the joys and challenges of balancing work and family. We asked them to share how HLB Mann Judd has helped them focus on the moments that matter most.
How has the firm supported you?
Letecia: HLB Mann Judd Perth has supported me by allowing flexible part-time working arrangements and the option to work from home, which has given me a great work–life balance. The flexibility means I can adjust my schedule when needed – whether I’m attending school events or managing school pick-ups, or even having time together in the afternoon when they get home from school. It’s made a real difference in creating a more manageable and fulfilling balance between my career and family life.
Nishedi: HLB Mann Judd Melbourne has been incredibly supportive throughout my pregnancy, offering flexible working arrangements, understanding during busy periods, and a strong parental leave policy that truly values employee wellbeing. I’ve been able to attend prenatal and other medical appointments without added stress, and the team has been very accommodating when I’ve needed to adjust my workload or schedule. That level of support has made this experience feel much more manageable and positive.
How are you planning to spend Mother’s Day?
Letecia: We are having a Mother’s Day morning tea combined with my Mum’s birthday in Kings Park.
Nishedi: As this will be my first Mother’s Day as a mum-to-be, I’m looking forward to a relaxing day with my husband, enjoying a peaceful beachside dinner and celebrating this special new chapter together.
