The HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association has appointed two new firms, in Fiji and Newcastle, NSW.

In Fiji, HLB Crosbie & Associates will become a full member firm and change its name to HLB Mann Judd Fiji. In Newcastle, Cutcher & Neale Assurance Pty Ltd, the assurance company of Cutcher & Neale, will join the Association as a representative firm.

It brings the number of HLB Mann Judd firms to nine member firms and three representative firms, with 86 partners across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Tony Fittler, chairman of the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association, said that there has been strong links with both firms over several years, and bringing them within the Australasian Association will strengthen its offering both within Australia and throughout the region.

“Both firms have similar values and ethics as well as being dedicated to delivering the best possible service to clients.

“They are strong and well-established firms in their respective markets and will bring particular skills and experience to the Association in their regions,” Mr Fittler said.

William Crosbie, principal partner of HLB Mann Judd Fiji, said there is a strong cultural fit between the firm and the Association.

“Delivering client service is particularly important to HLB Mann Judd Fiji, and the HLB Mann Judd firms have won numerous client relationship awards over the years.

“We have maintained a strong relationship with HLB Mann Judd for some time and we believe it makes sense to become part of such a strong association as we work ever more closely with Australian and New Zealand based clients,” he said.

HLB Mann Judd Fiji was established over 27 years ago as a full service accounting firm which specialises in assisting new investors in Fiji. It also provides traditional accounting services, audit, taxation advice and other professional services, and is already a member of HLB International.

Cutcher & Neale was founded in Newcastle in 1953, offering a range of accounting and financial services.

Mark O’Connor, head of Cutcher & Neale Assurance, said that with the growth in the audit client base, and the broader scope and diversity of audit and advisory services it is now providing to its clients, it made sense for the firm to have access to the depth of experience and expertise of the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association to complement its own resources.

“We already have a solid foundation for a long term relationship with the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association, and we are pleased to be joining a network that shares our values, especially our strong audit practice.

“Like us, HLB Mann Judd places emphasis on quality control and quality improvement, and seeks to work with clients to achieve the best possible outcome for them and their businesses.

“We both also have a deep understanding of the not-for-profit services sector and a passion for helping those that help others,” Mr O’Connor said.

HLB Mann Judd is an Australasian association of independent accounting firms and business and financial advisers, with firms in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
