The Role:
Our Sydney office, which is made up of 180 staff and 16 partners, we welcome expression of interests for talented Senior Accountants to join our high performing Accounting & Tax – Corporate division based in our brand new office in Barangaroo.

The role involves:

  • Prepare, review and finalise tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and fringe benefit tax returns
  • Prepare consolidated tax returns and assist with tax consolidation issues;
  • Oversee the preparation and review of work paper files
  • Review of tax calculations and provisions for the audit and business services divisions, and clients directly as required
  • Ensure all review points are dealt with appropriately both individually and as a supervisor
  • Ensure your manager is aware of any discussions with and comments made by clients
  • Provide general tax advice to clients with the support of the partners
  • Provide detailed written tax advice on a wide range of taxation issues, including but not limited to transfer pricing and other international tax issues, payroll tax, FBT, indirect taxes, corporate income tax, tax structuring; and assist the team with technical training and mentoring of junior staff.

To be successful you will have:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in public practice environment;
  • An in-depth knowledge of Australian taxation laws and an understanding of the importance of working within the regulatory framework;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Polished presentation and superior communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Excellent organisational and follow-through skills to ensure all compliance deadlines are met;
  • An ability to work without supervision and as part of a team; and
  • CTA or CA qualified or currently studying (or other similar qualification i.e. MTax).
