The Role:
Our Sydney office, which is made up of 180 staff and 21 partners, is looking for a Manager of Financial & Management to join our Restructuring & Risk Advisory Division on a part-time basis.
Reporting to our Restructuring & Risk Advisory Partners, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Manage the workflow of financial and management reporting for a remote and onsite team.
- Responsible for ensuring the teams completion of statutory reporting on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Liaise with the Partners/Sydney team to collate any information complete the Statutory Reporting and resolve any queries etc.
- Review and approve all Statutory Reporting in preparation for final review and approval of Partner/Appointor.
- Supervise the completion of provisions and remuneration reporting on a monthly basis.
- Complete quarterly management reporting for Restructuring & Risk Advisory team.
- Assist with training regime for incoming team members of the RRA and hot issues in the industry.
- Mentoring junior staff on financial reporting, careers and opportunities.
- Assisting with financial accounting for other corporate/institutional clients
- Opportunity to develop role and expand into process improvements or other aspects.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- CA/CPA or ACCA qualification
- 10 plus years’ experience in a similar role ie financial controller, finance manager
- Experience with advisory engagements around financial analysis, forecasting and financial strategy desired
- Confident with leading, coaching, and developing a junior team
- Be a strong communicator with a solution focused mindset
