As we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated Audit, Assurance & Corporate Advisory Graduates and Undergraduates to establish their professional career in our Lismore NSW office which is located 30 minutes from Byron Bay and an hour from the Gold Coast. Why join us? Because we’re different. We’re a new business that’s just morphed out of an old one with a ‘challenger mindset’ (google that term if you need to!). Our Partners are industry leading, our team is well-trained, professional and likes to have fun! We’d love to tell you what we do and why we’re different to other professional service firms! Our vision is to be the destination of choice for Partners, our People and our Clients.

Position Overview

You will typically work as part of a team on different engagements and get paid to travel across all of NSW and QLD from time to time. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and attention to detail, who enjoys working with people – and likes to have fun.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in Audits:

  • Support the planning, execution, and completion of audits for a range of clients in various industries.
  • Participate in testing financial statements, assessing the risk of material misstatements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Financial Analysis:

  • Perform analytical reviews of financial data and identify potential discrepancies or issues.
  • Prepare working papers and documentation in accordance with audit methodology and guidelines.

Client Communication:

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and assist in gathering relevant financial information.

Compliance:

  • Ensure audits comply with all relevant regulations, legal requirements, and company policies including our quality control manuals.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and audit procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Ideally a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or willing to complete an undergraduate degree. Maybe you’ve studied something else and been down a different path in life and want to give this role a go – there are now more pathways to the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program which don’t require a business degree! Happy to talk about that!
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report preparation.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse information, identify trends, and provide insights.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is critical to your success.

  • A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop in the auditing profession.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development (e.g., pursuing certifications like the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation).
  • Driver’s license is essential (or willing to obtain within your probation period)

Career Progression:

You can progress as quick as your skill set develops. We don’t pigeonhole anyone based on years of service. If you’re good enough, you’ll get promoted!
